Russian Silver Kopek and Citrine Necklace
Peter The Greats Great Coins
Set in between individual Citrines, these Russian Kopeks have outlived Peter the Great; reborn from the annals of history right to your front door. Wrapped in gold wire, each gem and coin fits snugly in its own place in this special necklace. As each cut was struck, they were then sheared down to their proper weight, resulting in the oddly shaped coinage.
History of the coins:
Peter the Great ruled the Tsardom of Russia from 1682 - 1696. The kopek is a small denomination of the Russian ruble, the main currency of Russia.
